Radio 1RPH is proud to join the Canberra Day Appeal for 2025. With the expert help of Hands Across Canberra, we are asking for your donations to keep us on the air by covering our broadcast costs. That’s things like broadcast equipment and maintenance, electricity to run our studios and transmitters, and newspaper and magazine subscriptions. Our radio and podcast services are free to all our listeners.

Our volunteers provide live readings of local and national papers daily, pre-recorded programs covering a range of topics and publications, as well as interviews and audio descriptions. We make information and entertainment accessible to people with any kind of print disability or those who are unable to access digital sources of information so they can enjoy the same publications as everyone else.

When you donate through the Hands Across Canberra portal, every dollar raised up to $2,500 will be matched, so your giving is doubled. There’s no minimum and donations over $2 are tax deductible.
